The Duck Who Got Stuck
After that traumatising day the duckling was petrified of going into the water again. Each day, her friends came up to the bank and told her of all the fun adventures they had been on.
"You'll never believe what happened today!"
"Yeah!"
"Well, we went to explore this other pond."
"And, and we saw these HUGE creatures who were carrying these, these things!"
"There called guns and they were talking about 'Duck shooting season'."
" And then we saw some of the elderly ducks and then there was a big BANG and... I think they fell asleep. . ."
10 years later...
The little duckling (who was now an adult duck) was sitting on the bank thinking about what she was going to do with her life when she saw a young scared duckling stuck in the marsh. A Hawk was circling above eyeing its vunerable prey. She had to think fast. Before she knew what was happening she was in the water and had saved the little shivering duck.
"Thank you," the small duck said gratefully.
The Fox And The Feast
" Good morning." Leopard smiled, flashing her white teeth.
" Yes, 'tis, isn't it?" Fox replied, swishing his tail. They walked in silence for awhile and then Leopard asked, " If you could have one wish, any wish, what would it be?"
Fox paused for a second before answering, " To have lots and lots of food."
Leopard grinned. Finally! A wish she could grant.
Later on, when Fox had returned to his den, he found a dead zebra lying at the entrance. In a few seconds, all that was left of the zebra was bones. Crawling into his den, belly full, he lay down for a nap. It wasn't long before he was awakened by the thunder of hooves. Cautiously, he poked his head outside, only to find a herd of zebras angrily kicking up dust.
"Where is Zebrado?" One angry zebra snorted.
"Ah! No! I found his skeleton!" Wailed another.
Taking his chance to escape, Fox squirmed back into his den, but the zebras followed him in, stomping on him. From that day on, no-one ever heard Fox complain again.
Moral: Be careful what you wish for.

Never Forget Me - Part 1
" Nice to see you're on time this time, Rhia." A voice hissed from the depths of the shadows.
"Always a pleasure to be in your presence, Brittany." Rhia retorted dismounting Midnight.
"Where's Danny and Aria?" A tall girl with blonde-brown hair and hazel eyes asked, stepping into the light with her dappled grey mare.
"Danny is in Paris and Aria is in San Francisco." Rhia replied, stroking the mare's blaze. " How are you, Callie?" She added.
" Good, I guess. School starts next week. Will Aria and Danny be back by then? We don't want to raise suspicions," Callie frowned, pulling her hair into a ponytail.
" Uh, I think so." Rhia answered, looking unsure. Her mocha brown hair. was pulled into a neat pony tail and her crystal blue eyes shone in the dark. She wore a white cloak draped around her light blue long sleeve T- shirt and black jodhpurs. A sapphire ring sat on her slim, middle finger. The sound of hooves alerted Rhia, Britney and Callie. Mounting quickly they backed into the shadows as quietly as they could.
" Where are the others?" The new voice asked, sliding off the white hood of her cloak.
" Alice is in Paris at the moment, training Trix for the Sadrana Academy Auditions, Mademoiselle Aubrie." Callie replied, with a polite smile. Aubrie's intense green eyes smiled as she trailed her fingers through the cool, clear water, a look of longing . . .

Imperfect Fruits- DogoNws
Imperfect's plans are to sell 'ugly' fruit products for thirty to fifty per cent less than normal fruit products. This will benefit the environment as well as the customers because the rotting fruit lets off green house gasses that are bad for the environment. They are planning to start off selling in California first.

The Squad - Part 3
As Mia and Erin walked arm in arm towards the gym, they spotted Lana with Sierra, their Spanish exchange student.
" Hey Sierra, hey Lana." Mia called, flashing her pearly white teeth in a smile. Sierra smiled and waved. but look slightly troubled. Erin noticed and frowned, then dragged Mia towards them.
" Lana, what's up?"
" Um . . . It's, uh, it's nothing." Lana replied, trying to smile but failed.
" Lana, come on. I'm not dumb. What's up?" Mia asked, placing her tan skin on her slim hips.
"Mia, please. Not now." Sierra pleaded, "I don't want to talk about it."
" Mia, leave it." Erin said softly. Catching herself quickly, Mia replied, "Okay. But you know you can talk to me anytime right?"
Lana nodded, pulling her purple and white striped duffel bag higher on her shoulder and walking away, arm in arm with Sierra . . .

The Squad - Part 2
"Well, this will be interesting." Natalia remarked and then noticing the puzzled looks on Lexi and Izzy's faces she added, " I'm guessing she's her to 'talk' about the championships."
"We have the international championship for cheer leading a couple of months and the Titans are our rivals." explained Izzy with a half smile.
" I know, I used to go to Summer-view," Lexi blushed.
" Summer-view? Omigosh! Really? Wow! That's-"
" The most highly ranked cheer squad in Star-wood International!" Izzy finished for her looking impressed. Lexi blushed and looked down. Unfortunately Adriana was standing close by and had over heard their conversation.
" Hi! I'm Adriana! You must be Lexi! I'm the captain of-"
" The Titans, so I've heard." Lexi replied smoothly. Adriana smiled smugly and replied proudly, " We've won three championships. You know . . . We could really use someone like you on our team. " Lexi just nodded politely, biting back giggles.
" Oh, hey Lisa!" Natalia smiled as a girl with strawberry blond hair walked up to them.
"Hey Nat, hey Izzy. Ohmigod Lexi! What are you doing here?" gushed Lisa.
Lexi smiled and pulled Lisa into a warm hug. Izzy frowned slightly as she struggled to figure out their relationship. Seeing her puzzled look Lisa explained, " Lex and I go way back. We used to got to prep together."
Izzy nodded, beginning to understand. Adriana coughed loudly, refusing to be overlooked or ignored. Lexi looked at her and then said, " Sorry, uh, but Izzy already asked me to be on her squad." It took a second for Adriana to process this information but after a second her face clouded over.
'" Oh, right." She replied darkly.
"Uh, we'll see you later Adriana. We have to go show Lex around the school." Lisa said, linking her arm through Lexi's and Izzy's, dragging them away from Adriana.

The Squad - Part 1
"Izzy, who's that?" Mia, Izzy's best friend asked indicating to the new girl. Izzy cocked her head to one side and studied the new girl. she smiled. This girl was some serious cheerleader material.
" Hmm . . . I don't think I know her. But she'll have to join the squad. " Then, walking over to the new girl she extended her hand to her and flashed a dazzling smile and said, " HI, I'm Isabella Rico, you can call me Izzy. I'm captain of the cheer leading team. Have you had experience in cheer leading before?" The new girl look startled for a second and then smiled and shook Izzy's hand.
" I'm Lexi, and uh yeah. I used to be captain at my old school."
" You can come sit with us for lunch, come on." Izzy said. Mia frowned and then quickly pulled back her smile and said, " I'm Mia, by the way. Um I'll catch up with you and Lexi in a sec, 'kay?" Izzy nodded and walked off with Lexi. Mia turned around facing the other cheer leaders when Izzy and Lexi were out of earshot and then frowned. " Lexi looks like she'll be a good cheer leader. That means we have to pick up our game. Prove to her that we are the best of the best." Erin, Izzy's other best friend nodded and then added, " I think this Lexi chick will be a threat to us purely based on the fact that from one glance Izzy selected her." The other cheer leaders nodded and the Mia chipped in, " But that doesn't mean we'll be mean to her just, just keep your guard up. Okay?Let's go to lunch."
Silent Secrets ~ Part 3
As the plane skidded to a halt, Sky slowly stooped down and shouldered her duffle bag, and stretched. She filed out after a couple of people and shook her head, still tired and now jet-lagged.
"Sky! Mummy said to look out for you! She says that your going to be staying with us!" Sky's little cousin Katy came running up to her, flinging herself into Sky's arms and jumping so Sky had to catch her.
"Sky darling nice to see you again!" Melody, Katy's mum came up to Sky, kissing her on both cheeks. Sky smiled, she knew she would love it in here.
" Hey Sky! Great to see you again." Gabriela, Katy's sister, smiled. Gabby was the same age as Sky and they had always been more like best friends then cousins so it would be perfect. For the first time in ages, Sky was genuinely happy.

My I Am Poem
I wonder how my future will turn out.
I hear the sweet singing of birds in the morning.
I see the smiles of kids at school.
I am want to see world peace.
I am creative and crazy like a monkey in the vast jungle.
I pretend that I will live forever.
I feel the lost souls around us trying to find way back.
I touch the soft fluffy wool on the heads of my alpapacs.
I worry about ebola and poverty.
I cry for child abuse and animal cruelty.
I am creative and cray like a monkey in the vast jungle.
I understand that life isn't easy.
I say stand up for what you believe in.
I dream that I can achieve anything.
I try to be kind and helpfull.
I hope that one day fighting will cease.
I am creative an crazy like a monkey in the vast jungle.

Silent Secrets ~ Part 2
"Can I go see Symphony now?" Skylar asked standing up from her comfy spot on the recliner nearest to the fire.
"Yeah, sure. I already fed him but I wasn't sure what Accapella's diet was so I just feed him sugar beet and chaff. Is that okay?" Heather asked, sweeping her hair out of her face and into a smooth ponytail.
"Yeah, thanks," Skylar replied gratefully, walking into the hallway leading to the stables. Her boots clicked against the smooth tarmac as she walked through the hallway in the stables.
"Hey Symphony," she smiled weakly. Symphony thrust his head over the shiny wooden door of his loose box and nickered a friendly greeting.
"Sky?What are you doing here? Heather called me. You almost gave me a heart attack!" Ruby, Skylar's mum said, as she came running down the hallway. Skylar didn't even turn around to look at her mum she just kept stroking Symphony gently along his white blaze. Ruby had dark brown hair and lush green eyes that were blazing angrily. She wore a blue long sleeve top with black jeans and black boots.
"Look Sky, I know you don't like Dan but-"
"It's not about Dan, mum! He's fine! It's just that I-I miss dad!" Skylar replied cutting her mother off. Ruby's eyes softened at the mention of her previous husband, Dexter. Dexter had died in a factory explosion. Every now and again Sky had dreams about him. It was always the same dream. Sky was standing there making her lunch for school. Her dad was just leaving, he dropped a kiss on the top of her head as he always did and said, " Have fun at school possum. Love you," and she would reply
" Yeah, bye dad," with a smile.
"Sky, I'm sorry, I miss Dex as well," she said with a sad smile.
"Mum, I'm not coming home. I've already arranged with Aunty Melody and Uncle Scott." She replied whirling around to face her mother . . .

Silent Secrets ~ Part 1
"Sky! What are you doing here? Your mum is going mental!" Her long blonde hair was hanging loosely around her shoulders, her cheek tinged pink with the cold. She wore a white cable-knit sweater paired with denim skinny jeans and black ankle boots.
"Aunty Heather, I know, but it just hasn't been right ever since dad left." Skylar cried, the tears streaming down her cherry-red cheeks. Heather wrapped her arms around Skylar and pulled her indoors.
" You can stay here for awhile sweetie," Heather said quietly, taking Accapella's reins and leading him around the back of her house towards the stables. Skylar stayed reluctantly inside the house standing by the crackling fire. She stared at the fire thoughtfully, stretching her fingers towards it.
